Watercolor

Alicia painted this beautiful portrait of her Mother when she visited Poland in 1975. This visit to Poland was her first since she left for the US in 1951 at age twenty six. Her Mother’s name was Stanislawa Janeska and she was known as a warm, strong, and loving woman by her friends and family.
